Independent Learning Log

What I did: I looked up on what active and passive voice means and how they are used.

What I learned: In a sentence using active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action expressed in the verb. In the passive voice, the subject of the sentence is neither a do-er or be-er but an agent, which can be a non-subject.

For example:
Passive voice: The new policy was approved by the executive committee
Active Voice: The executive committee approved the new policy
